Trying Beauty Bakerie *Gifted

Beauty Bakerie

I love makeup and I love food (clearly), so put the two together and you have fun and lively products … you have Beauty Bakerie.

I’m a very visual person and it is packaging that draws me in before I even see the actual product. When these arrived and I opened up the box, I was immediately excited. There’s something very cute about makeup in packaging designed to look like baking ingredients.

I don’t have a sweet tooth and rarely ever bake or eat desserts, but the packaging of Beauty Bakerie products had me swooning. I’ve been sent three products and after weeks of playing with these I can safely say that I’m a fan.

Well isn’t this the cutest setting powder you ever did see? It’s the Oat HD Flour Setting Powder ($24.00) in Translucent.

Aside from the fact that the little flour bag is adorable, this is actually a really lovely powder. Gluten-free and vegan, it tackles oil and sets your foundation in place perfectly. There’s an HD feature to the colourless formula that smooths out your complexion, leaving you with a flawless matte complexion. Despite the matte finish, it still allows a radiance to come through.

I’ve been trying this with a number of different foundations and I’ve been really impressed. No shine appears for around 8 hours and I love how healthy it leaves my complexion looking.

The Cotton Candy Champagne palette ($38.00) is pretty … seriously pretty and I love it.

I am a huge fan of blush and highlighter palettes and whilst this is more of a blush palette, they are shimmery. Beauty Bakerie is owned by black females and I can imagine that these will show up beautifully on darker skin tones. I have to be gentle with these as I am so pale but they do blend out for a sheer finish if you have a light touch.

There are 4 gorgeous rose flushed shades in a mix of matte and metallic sheen finishes. They are buttery, pigmented and buildable and give you the prettiest flush of shimmery colour to your cheeks.

Finally, we have a gorgeous liquid lipstick with the Matte Lip Whip in the shade Versailles ($20.00).

This has a nice light formula that doesn’t feel heavy or drying on the lips. It dries to a matte finish and stays in place for hours, even after eating and drinking. I’ve been impressed with how pigmented this is and the applicator is perfect for quick and easy application.

There’s a strong temptation to get a few more shades of these as I really like the formula and the finish and the fact they just don’t budge!

My first experience of Beauty Bakerie has definitely been nice and positive and they’re a brand that I’m keen to try more from. Go check them out here.
