Sunday Riley Holiday Heroes

If you’ve got a skincare addict to buy for this Christmas, then look no further than the Sunday Riley Holiday Heroes Kit.  I adore Sunday Riley and love their products, so I know that this would make the perfect Christmas gift for someone … or for yourself if you’re wanting to experience the delights of Sunday Riley.

I was recently commissioned by the team at Sunday Riley to illustrate a couple of their holiday sets and this was one of them (the other will be reviewed next week for you guys).  It was a happy morning when the sets were delivered and my bathroom shelves are now groaning under the weight of Sunday Riley products as I’ve amassed quite the collection.

The Sunday Riley Holiday Heroes Kit retails for £100.00 (you can pick it up at Cult Beauty and Space NK ), and contains 5 of their cult products.   Only one item is full-sized and the others are deluxe-sized but there’s more than enough product to give you a good feel for them.  I’m going away at Christmas and I know that these smaller sizes will come in handy for that.

I have been using Sunday Riley products for the last couple of years and I swear by them, so I think this kit is amazing and is just ideal for a gift for someone this Christmas.  So, let’s take a look at what you get inside.

I’ve been a fan of Ceramic Slip for a while and now it has been reformulated and has new packaging, but is still just as good.  Containing French Green Clay, it gently foams and removes dirt as well as gently exfoliating the skin, absorbs impurities and tightens up the pores.  You get a 30ml tube, which is a decent amount as I’ve always found that I don’t need to use a huge amount of this.

Next up is the only full size product in the kit and it’s another reformulated product.  Good Genes used to use Lactic Acid, but they’ve had to change it for the UK market to use Glycolic Acid instead.  I have both versions and don’t see a huge amount of difference between the two.  It’s an under moisturiser treatment and mask and it’s one of those products that I like to use regularly.  It smoothes, clarifies, brightens and refines the skin and also helps to improve the thickness and elasticity of the skin.

This is something that I have only really been using for a few weeks and I really enjoy using it.  It’s a concentrated super serum that is full of the benefits of vitamin C.  The serum brightens the skin, evens out your complexion and also tackles the signs of ageing including line, crow’s feet and dullness.  I’ve noticed a big improvement in my skin since using this.

This is another fairly recent addition to my Sunday Riley collection and I absolutely love it.  If your skin is dry and in desperate need of some hydration, then you’re going to love this.  It’s a gel-cream containing hyaluronic acid as well as Papaya Enzymes for resurfacing.  White Bird of Paradise works to brighten and hydrate the skin and your complexion is left feeling moisturised, plumped and youthful.

I can’t sing the praises of Luna enough.  I use it 4 times a week at the moment and I have many backups – it’s an essential for me.  Luna is a retinol rich facial oil. containing Blue Tansy Extract, that helps to reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles and also works to correct environmental damage to the skin.  I always notice that my skin feels so much softer and more hydrated whenever I use this.  It’s a must have.

Overall I think the Sunday Riley Holiday Heroes Kit is just fantastic and you’ll earn some serious brownie points if you gift this to someone this year.
