The Sunday Riley Captain Marvel x Good Genes collaboration has landed and it’s a match made in superhero heaven. Now sadly this is only available in the US, but if you’re interested in reading about the new UK formula, I’ve written all about it here.
Unless you live under a rock, you will know that Marvel have just released a new Captain Marvel film. It is also Sunday Riley’s 10 year anniversary, so they’ve teamed up together to launch a limited edition bottle of Good Genes in a Captain Marvel design. As I mentioned, this is US only so the formula is the original Lactic Acid as opposed to the Glycolic Acid.
I’m a big fan of Good Genes (in both formulas) and use it often, so I was thrilled to be sent this, despite being in the UK. I often get dull-looking skin, so I like products that leave me looking radiant. Good Genes contains high-potency, purified grade lactic acid and it is a multi-tasking targeted treatment. It works to rapidly exfoliate the dull surface of the skin as well as boosting the skin’s natural radiance.
Daily life can result in our skin becoming dull and our pores getting clogged up which isn’t ideal if you want bright, healthy looking skin. The lactic acid deeply exfoliates the dead skin cells which instantly clarifies and leaves you with smoother and clearer skin. It also contains liquorice, which is known for it’s skin brightening properties. Along with the exfoliation, it reduces the look of dark spots, age spots and discolouration, as well as plumping out your fine lines and wrinkles in just minutes.
How To Use
You can use Good Genes as a leave on treatment by applying 1-2 pumps to clean dry skin. Whilst you can use it day or night, I prefer to do it at night after I have applied Luna.
If you have sensitive skin, which mine can be at times, you can also use Good Genes as a mask. Instead of leaving it on, rinse off after 15 minutes. This is how I mostly use the product as my skin can go through reactive phases, but I do like to leave it on every now and again when I feel my skin can take it.
Purified Lactic Acid – one of the most hydrating AHAs. Exfoliates the surface layers of the skin. Helps to tackle dead skin cells and excess sebum.
Liquorice – has naturally brightening properties to improve the skin’s radiance.
Lemongrass – astringent and skin refreshing to help tone the complexion.
Arnica – soothes the skin to reduce discomfort.
The Sunday Riley Captain Marvel x Good Genes collaboration is limited edition and $105 for 30ml or $158 for 50ml. It is available at Sephora and on the Sunday Riley website. Whether you’re a Captain Marvel fan or just fancy trying this iconic product, you’re going to want to grab it whilst you can.
