Pixi MatteLast Liquid Lips With Swatches *

Pixi MatteLast

When the new Pixi MatteLast Liquid Lips arrived in the cutest PR package, I was one very happy girl.  I already had a few of them from a previous parcel, but now there are even more shades and they are all completely gorgeous.

What I did find exciting is that there is an empty pot and then some pots with base colours in as Pixi are running a competition.  You create your own shade, name it and send it back to Pixi and the winner gets to go to LA.  I’m still deciding what shade I want to create, but I am so entering that!

I loved the first lot that I was sent, so I love that they’ve extended the shade range.  The Pixi MatteLast Liquid Lips are some of the longest wearing liquid lipsticks that I have ever tried – they do not move.  You can eat, drink and be merry and these stay on your lips through it all.  They stay on your arms even longer when you swatch them.  It took me 4 days to finally get them off my arm, but thankfully they are easier to remove from your lips (use a cleansing balm and they’ll come off without staining).

Considering how long wearing these are, they don’t feel dry or tight on the lips as they are infused with rosehip oil meaning that they are nice and comfortable to wear.  Once applied, they dry quickly and set to a matte veil and there is no transfer with them either.  Pixi have done so well with this formula.

Each shade comes with the Pixi Petal applicator that enables an even and precise application and they go on so smoothly.  I’m not the best when it comes to applying liquid lipstick, I blame having a really thin top lip, but these are easy to apply and even I don’t make mess.

All of the shades are universally flattering so regardless of your skin tone, these will look great.  At £16.00 each, they’re affordable and are cruelty and paraben free.
