Mintd Box Winter Survival

It’s my happy time of the month – yep it’s Mintd time and this month we have the Mintd Box Winter Survival Kit.  If you don’t know how Mintd works, then you subscribe to a 3, 6 or 12 month plan and each month get a box full of luxury skincare that you will just love.  The subscription cost is £70.00 a month and I have to say that it is worth every penny.

Dehydrated skin, chapped lips and a dull complexion?

Winter has arrived in full force.  As the days get shorter and the cold air starts to bite, Mintd provides the means to ensuring that your skin is happily hydrated through these dusky winter months.

This month’s box is your ultimate winter survival kit.

My skin goes to some bad places in winter thanks to the cold temperatures and the central heating, so this box was made for me.

I’m really starting to love Farmacy so I’m thrilled to see them appear in Mintd Box again.  I’d heard great things about Honey Potion, and it hasn’t disappointed.  Personally, I can’t stand the taste of honey, but my skin loves it, so what better way to give my skin what it likes than with a honey face mask?

Honey Potion is a natural mask that is full of antioxidants and it heats up on the skin once the ingredients have been activated to leave your skin feeling revitalised.  The mask contains cold-pressed Avocado and Chia and Grape Seed oils to nourish the skin.

Once you’ve applied a nice thick layer to cleansed and toned skin, massage it in for 2 minutes to warm it up and activate the ingredients – it will change into a rich white cream when this has happened.  Leave it on for 15 minutes before rinsing off and continuing your skincare routine.  Seriously ladies, this is so nice to use and leaves your skin feeling amazing.

Neom are one of those brands that I won’t use for a while and then as soon as I do I remember how much I love them.  I’ve been needing a new body scrub and this one is from their Scent To De-Stress range, which is definitely something I’m in need of at the moment.

The scrub contains a complex blend of 24 pure essential oils such as Lavender, Jasmine and Brazilian Rosewood, which smell amazing and also help to have a calming effect on the body and the mind.  Life is a little bit stressful at the moment so this is just what I need in my life.

You can massage the scrub onto either dry or damp skin from the feet upwards.  As you massage the stub in circular movements, breathe in and out slowly to take in the calming properties of the essential oils.  I like to use this before I go to bed just to give me that extra level of calmness and tranquility that I need at the moment.

My lips hate winter.  They get very chapped and very sore and always end up feeling extremely painful, so these plumping lip gels are ideal.  I think too many of us forget to look after our lips in the cold weather, so it’s great that Mintd have included these.

Containing Wild Berry Extract, these lip gels help to add moisture and TLC to chapped lips.  The ingredients are delivered deep into the skin and as well as adding much needed moisture, they also have a gradual augmenting effect.  I have thin lips, so I’m down for anything that will add volume, help to erase some of the lines I have on my lips as well as them feeling smoother and hydrated.

You only need to keep the gel patch on for 10 minutes, and whilst your lips do feel a little bit cool and tingly afterwards, this is totally normal.  I’m going to be stocking up on these.

I’d never heard of this brand before and I did think that £60.00 for a fairly small pot was quite pricey … until I put it on my face and fell in love.  I hate being cold so I have the central heating on a lot and this leaves me with skin that is dehydrated and quite tight.

This balm is free of toxins and synthetic compounds and helps to redress your skin’s balance.  It contains Rose Absolute to reduce redness, Immortelle to help regenerate the skin’s tissue, and Beeswax to heal the skin and lock in moisture.  If you’re into natural products then you’re going to love this.

You can apply this as many times as you feel you need to throughout the day and it can also be used on the body as well as on the face.  This is a winter must have!

Seeing as a full size jar of this is £158.00, I really didn’t want to like this but my brain knows when something is expensive and instantly loves it – it’s the story of my life.  Again this is another brand that I wasn’t familiar with – I feel this month has been a really good mix of brands and has introduced me to a couple of products that I hadn’t been aware of.

La Potion Infinite is a rich, nourishing moisturiser that targets wrinkles, blemishes and the effects of environmental stress.  I love that it absorbs instantly and you’re not left with any greasy residue.  As soon as you apply the cream to your skin, it delivers hydration, stimulation and nourishment.  The cream helps to regulate the skin’s flora thanks to DNA HP and silver hydrosol and it also provides the skin with anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial benefits.

You can ue this both day and night, although I have just been using it in the morning and my skin is definitely feeling more hydrated.  If only it was a little (ok, a lot) cheaper!

Once again Mintd have curated a fabulous box, and if winter wrecks your face like it does mine, then you’re going to need to subscribe.
