Mintd Box Pause & Unwind Unboxing *

Mintd Box Pause & Unwind

When the Mintd Box Pause & Unwind box arrived the other day the timing could not have been better.  My stress levels are quite high at the moment as I try to launch my illustrating business, find the time to blog, keep my Instagram looking good, manage my mental health and try to still have a life.  I could not be in more need of some relaxation and time to unwind.

Work hard, play hard is the mantra that so many of us subscribe to in our pursuit of success, but what about taking a minute to pause, unwind and relax.  We far too often become consumed by moving towards the next big thing: that promotion, that relationship, that next rung on the ladder towards happiness that we forget to pause and enjoy the moment.  There is so much beauty in the journey, let’s turn our minds to celebrating the right now and champion ourselves in continuously rising to meet the demands of life.  You deserve a break and we are here to help you float into Nirvana.

Seriously, this box could not have arrived at a more perfect time.  I feel like my mind is going a million miles an hour at the moment, so the chance to sit back and relax with some gorgeous products is like music to my hours.  We all know by now just how much I adore Mintd Box, so I had high hopes for this box before it even arrived – it did not disappoint.  With the exception of one of the products, I hadn’t tried any of the goodies inside before.

Now obviously I haven’t spent weeks testing out the products – I am sent this box to show you so you can go and subscribe if you want to.  However, I have had a little play and I’m more than happy with what is inside.  By now you all know that if I don’t like something then I will say so – I genuinely really like everything that you get inside the Mintd Box Pause & Unwind edition.

I love Aromatherapy Associates, especially their bath and shower oils, so when I saw this cute little set in the box, I mentally high-fived Cheryl and the Mintd crew.  For me bath time is the time of the day when I go and relax and try unwind from the day and I take the products I use very seriously.  I’m so into oils at the moment so this could not be more perfect for me.

You get the Revive Morning oil and the Deep Relax oil, both of which I have tried before and love them.  The Revive Morning gives you the kick start you need in the morning, but for me, the real gem here is the Deep Relax.  It contains Vetivert, Camomile and Sandalwood and it really does help you to slow your mind down and help you to relax.  My only downside is that the bottles are very small and I take a LOT of baths so these will not last long.

I’ve been using a jade roller for a couple of years now but it’s a bit broken and I have been considering replacing it, but now it looks like I’ll be switching to rose quartz.  I can wake up with very puffy skin, which is always a lot worse when I’m having an endo flare up, so I find rollers something of a necessity.  This is hand-carved from rose quartz, which is famed for its healing properties,  and can be used from the forehead to the décolleté to help you build firmer and younger-looking skin.  I’m getting really into Omorovicza at the moment and I had no idea that they even made this.

There are many benefits to using a roller as part of your skincare routine:

* Stimulate collage production

* Reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles

* Increase lymphatic drainage

* Reduce pore size

* Improve skin’s elasticity

* Soothe irritated and sensitive skin

* Exercise facial muscles

* Encourage product to be received deeply into the skin

This is a brand I’m not overly familiar with but I do like a good facial polish and these was put straight to the test when it arrived as my skin was in need of some serious TLC.  Whilst I’m not averse to slapping chemicals across my face, I do enjoy trying out more natural products.  Some polishes can be so harsh and rough on your skin and when you’re my age you don’t really want to take any chances, so I’m glad to have been able to try this.

It’s a gentle polish that deeply exfoliates to lift off the dead skin cells and purify the skin, leaving it clean, soft and radiant.  The formula is a unique combination of sun-dried Buchu plant and crushed Baobab fruit, combined with healing Micro-Algae and fine granules of volcanic minerals.  This visibly refines the texture of your skin and helps to soften the look of fine lines, as well as buffing away any dark spots.  The polish is high in microelements, proteins, vitamins, mineral salts and amino acids and it gently cleanses the skin without depleting the protective lipid barrier.  After only a couple of uses I can tell that I’m going to enjoy using this.

As I mentioned earlier I’m really loving oils at the moment and I always use a night oil, so yay to this being in the Mintd Box Pause & Unwind.  I’ve used this for a couple of nights and it’s instant love.  Sometimes there’s a product that you just know you’re instantly going to get along with and this is one of them.  Just 2 pumps of this a night is enough and you’ll wake up with the softest skin that feels beautifully hydrated.

The oil is an overnight skin boosting treatment oil that is very potent, so a little goes a long way.  It contains a blend of 17 organic, highly active, botanical oils that are blended with vitamin rich Rosehip, known for its antioxidant properties.  This formula will help to combat the damage caused by free radicals as well as increasing collagen production, and the addition Calendula will help to soothe and calm, whilst Baobab aids skin maintenance.  All of the ingredients are organic although if you’re pregnant then you have to give this a miss sadly.  I’m already obsessed with it.

I feel like I say this every month when it comes to my Mintd Unboxings, but I love this box.  Some people have mentioned that the cost of this subscription (£70.00) is what puts them off and I get that.  However, you only have to take a look at the value of the products in the Mintd Box Pause & Unwind edition to see that you more than get your moneys worth.  I’ve had about 4 boxes from them now and I haven’t failed to be impressed.  So if you’re into skincare and like a little bit of luxury then this is for you.
