Jo Malone Lime Basil & Mandarin is one of their iconic scents and it is now available in the most beautiful Body & Hair Oil (as well as a very cute little soap).
At the moment, Jo Malone are running a campaign asking people to Declare Your Scent, and the products came in a cute travel pouch emblazoned with this. It never feels real that I get sent such beautiful products from one of my favourite brands to review and even as I’m sat writing this, another parcel has just arrived from them, so get ready for lots more Jo Malone posts.
I’ve had one Jo Malone body oil before but that’s in a much heavier scent, so I was looking forward to trying this out. I’ve owned a Lime Basil & Mandarin cologne for a while but I was never a big fan of the scent. I liked it but didn’t love it. However, I’ve really started to fall for it over the last few weeks and it is perfect for this time of year.
Peppery basil, aromatic white thyme and limes
on a Caribbean breeze. Tantalising and zesty.
As well as being infused with the lovely scent of Jo Malone Lime Basil & Mandarin, the oil is also blended with sweet almond and macadamia seed oils. It is lightweight, feels beautifully soft on the skin and absorbs quickly.
When it arrived, I quickly sprayed it on just one arm to get a quick feel for it. Within 5 minutes I could feel a massive difference between the arm I sprayed and the arm that I didn’t. The recent hot weather has really dried my skin out and just a quick spritz of this oil left my skin looking healthier and more moisturised and feeling so much softer and more hydrated. In the time that I have had this, I have used it a couple of times a day and my skin is feeling so much better.
When it comes to hair oils, I can be quite fussy, but I love this. It leaves my hair feeling softer and smelling absolutely delicious without leaving that oily greasy feeling that some oils can have.
100ml bottle of Jo Malone Lime Basil & Mandarin Body and Hair Oil costs £42.00 and is worth every single penny.
I’m not normally a fan of bar soaps as I can find them to be really drying on my skin, but full marks to Jo Malone as this one is lovely.
It contains Shea Butter which is nice and moisturising on the skin, as well as being richly scented with the Lime Basil & Mandarin scent. The soap doesn’t feel at all drying on the skin, and you smell gorgeous after using it. I’m now tempted to pick up some more of their soaps and they look so cute in the bathroom – ideal if you’re having guests to stay.
100g Jo Malone Lime Basil & Mandarin Soap costs £15.00.
These are well worth treating yourself to this summer – you will smell and feel amazing!
