If you’ve never had a shower with a Jo Malone shower oil then you are seriously missing out. The Jo Malone Blackberry & Bay shower oil is one of my current favourites and I know that you will love it too.
Whether I use it in the shower, or pump a few squirts into my bath, there’s something very luxurious and pampering about using this oil (or any of their shower oils to be fair). I always like to use something a little bit fancy when I’m getting myself clean and I have to say that 9 times out of 10 it is something from Jo Malone. We all know I love their perfumes and candles, but I am also a huge fan of their body care products too.
Inspired by childhood memories of blackberry picking (I did it once, got stung by a bee and fell in nettles), Blackberry and Bay is one of Jo Malone’s more popular fragrances. Whilst I do like it in the cologne, for some reason I prefer it in the shower oil. There’s the lively tart fruitiness of the blackberry, the bright freshness of the bay leaves and the woody charisma of the cedar wood, this is a beautiful fragrance.
The formula feels luxurious and starts off as an oil. Once it meets the water, it turns into a lovely satiny lather that leaves your skin feeling perfectly cleansed. Sunflower seed, jojoba and coconut oil help to make this moisturising, softening and hydrating on the body. My skin always feels nice and soft after using this and it has a subtle fragrance that I pick up on all day.
At £32.00 for a 250ml bottle, it might seem a bit pricey, but I’ve found that a little goes an awful long way. You only need to use a few pumps to really get a nice lather and a bottle lasts longer than you think.
You can buy Jo Malone Blackberry and Bay Shower Oil from Harrods and other retailers.
