From the second the Huda Beauty Obsessions palettes launched I knew that I needed them. I already have the large Rose Gold palette so I knew I liked the quality of Huda’s products. However, I’m still pretty much on a spending ban so I admired them from afar. Luckily, Mick knew I liked the look of them and treated me to two of them for Valentine’s Day … today I’m going to show you the Warm Brown Obsessions palette.
The Obsessions palettes are compact and slimline and a great size for those who like to travel. You’ve got 9 gorgeous shades – a metallic and 8 mattes – and a decent size mirror, without it taking up a lot of room in your bag. As someone who has a lot of makeup, especially eyeshadow palettes, I like the fact that these are nice and slim as I’m seriously running out of space for my makeup.
When it comes to eyeshadows, I absolutely love warm tones, so this palette is right up my street. There’s a beautiful mix of oranges, reds and neutrals and I’m more than a little obsessed with the gold metallic in the centre of the palette. Normally I prefer palettes with quite a few shimmers in them (I’m basically a magpie), and I am not usually drawn to mostly matte palettes, but this is gorgeous.
I think my issue with most matte palettes is that they can be a bit dry and patchy, but these are incredible. They are so pigmented that I was actually a little bit shocked. The formula is nice and buttery and they are a dream to work with. To say that they blend nice and easily is an understatement – seriously, they are some of the best shadows I have ever used. You can build up the colour, although I find I don’t really need to do this too much as they are so pigmented. Ok, so there’s a little bit of kick back but it’s not a lot and doesn’t detract from how stunning this palette is.
The palette is £25.00, which I think is so reasonable considering you get 9 shadows of such high quality. I’ve paid far more for far less in the past, so I think the price point of this is really good. Using this palette has made me definitely want to try more from Huda Beauty as this has blown my tiny little makeup mind. I do also have the Smokey Obsessions palette which I will be reviewing soon and that one is a stunner too.
So if you’re looking for a travel-friendly palette that is of amazing quality, then you’re going to want to check out the Huda Beauty Obsessions palettes. I just need to decide which one I want next. Have you tried any of the palettes?
You can buy the Warm Brown Obsessions palettes from a number of retailers, although Mick purchased mine from Cult Beauty.
