The December Glossybox has dropped. It’s no secret that I’ve not been blown away by the last couple of boxes, so I was really hoping that this one would be better. Spoiler alert – it is. So much better. I adore the packaging of this box, designed by Dusty Boy, and the contents seem to be a better fit for me.
LAQA & CO CLOUD LIPS
Encased in this rose-gold delight is one of the best matte lipsticks we’ve tried recently. The high impact pigment feels as light as a cloud but stays put until the end of the party.
I’ve only tried a couple of pieces from LAQA & Co, but the second I saw this I was happy. I love the packaging, the shade and the formula. It feels nice and creamy to apply and doesn’t dry out the lips. I’m not sure about it staying on for hours, but the wear time is quite good. It’s a full-size product too.
SOAPER DUPER RICH & CREAMY SHEA BUTTER BODY WASH
A worthy addition to any shower. This lovely lather is made from naturally derived ingredients including shea butter, moisturising monoi oil, and the pressed vanilla pods that give these suds their beautifully heady scent. Plus its free-from formula contains no parabens, mineral oils or sulphates. Rub it onto a shower puff for more friction and more suds.
I’ve seen so many people raving on about this that to see this in my December Glossybox has cheered me right up. I love shea butter so I’m looking forward to putting this to the test.
MODEL CO 3D LASH PRIMER
For sweeping transformations, coat lashes with this primer before you apply your usual mascara. It conditions lashes and thickens them in preparation for mascara for noticeably longer and fuller lashes.
There seems to be a primer for just about everything these days. I’m going to be honest, I very rarely bother with lash primers … it’s a step I just always forget about. However, my lashes do need some help so maybe I should start.
STEVE LAURANT PRECISION TIP EYELINER
We’ll never get tired of a feline flick, but leave soot to Father Christmas! It’s easy to create precise, intense black lines with this super fine liquid liner. The felt tip applicator has a thin nib that makes for easy application and the long lasting formula is smudge and waterproof.
Now I’ve never heard of Steve, but he does make a nice little liner. I love the rose gold packaging and how precise the nib is. I’m not great at liquid liner, but this is so easy to use and you get a really nice line with it. Plus, it stays in place all day and night.
NAOBAY EQUILIBRIA GEL TO MILK CLEANSER
Wash away the day in the most opulent way. This golden gel transforms into a softening cleansing milk on contact with water. With organic olive and sweet almond oils, skin is left hydrated not tight. Massage the gel over your face and neck, ensuring you pay extra attention to the oilier T-zone where we tend to apply more makeup. Add warm water, massage some more until the gel has turned into a milky texture, and then splash it off along with any remains of the day.
Gel to milk cleansers always work well for me, so I’m looking forward to trying this once my Glossier cleanser runs out. I haven’t heard of this brand before, but it’s always fun to try something new. It’s a good size tube and I have high hopes for this.
As well as a cheeky little sweet treat (not sure if this will be in subscriber’s boxes), there’s also some cards from Dusty Boy.
