The Charlotte Tilbury Your Lip Service set is here and it is beautiful. I promised you a few CT posts and here’s the second. The gorgeous girls over at Charlotte Tilbury kindly sent me this set which contains 2 new shades and a re-release of The Queen. Bunnies, if you’re a Tilbury fan then you’re going to want this set.
I think everyone knows by now just how much I adore Charlotte Tilbury, especially her lipsticks. I own every shade and I’m quite proud of that, so I knew that I needed this set. I already have The Queen, but the two new shades looked so stunning when I saw them online, that I was so excited to try them out.
Whenever anyone asks me what they should try from Charlotte Tilbury, I always mention the lipsticks. Mostly I tell them to try Pillow Talk but I think that there might just be a new contender in this gorgeous set. Not only are they the most Instagramable lipsticks ever, they wear so well and look so pretty when they’re on that every woman should have at least one Tilbury lipstick in their life.
Ok ladies, say hello to my new love … The Duchess. This lipstick speaks to me on every level – it’s just the most perfect shade. It’s a tea rose pink from the K.I.S.S.I.N.G. range and it is just so beautiful.
Normally pink shades can be a bit hit and miss with me but this one is super flattering and I’m more than a little obsessed with it. The lipstick contains extracts from the Lipstick Tree that help to protect your lips from UV damage and oxidative stress and feels moisturising on the lips. I love the K.I.S.S.I.N.G. range as they’re nice and hydrating on the lips. I have very thin lips, which is why I very rarely ever post a photo of them (so tempted by fillers), but the light diffusing pigments in the lipstick help to make your pout look fuller which is an added bonus for me. Finally, there’s a blend of waxes in the formula that helps the lipstick to glide over the lips as well as enabling you to build the coverage. This gets a 10 from me.
The Duchess works well with:
Pillow Talk Lip Cheat
Portobello Girl Lip Lustre
Dolly Bird Hollywood Lips
Next in the set is The Queen. Now this isn’t a new shade, but is a re-release as it was originally launched as a limited edition shade. I bought this when it was first released and I like it a lot although I don’t often reach for it as it’s a bit bright for me. However, if a rosy crown jewel pink appeals to you, then this is the shade for you.
The Queen is one of the Matte Revolution lipsticks, which I find to be some of the most comfortable mattes I’ve ever worn. They’re not drying at all and stay on well all day. The formula contains anti-oxidant Lipstick Tree and Orchid extracts that leave your lips feeling protected, soft and hydrated. Again, for those of us with non-existent lips, you’ll get the illusion of wider, fuller lips thanks to 3D glowing pigments. You’ll also get long-lasting colour thanks to triglycerides mixed with a blend of oils and waxes. I really do wish I could pull off this shade as it is beautiful.
You can use The Queen with:
Pillow Talk Lip Cheat
Screen Siren Hollywood Lips
The final shade is another new one and it is stunning. The Legendary Queen is a soft neutral wine shade in the Matte Revolution formula.
I like wearing red lipstick, but Mick isn’t a fan, so wine shades are a great compromise. This is extremely pretty without being bold or in your face. I can see this being a favourite of mine in the Autumn months as it’s nice and warm and I can already think of a million different eyeshadows that will work so well with this. I really hope that they make this and The Duchess permanent shades as they’re just shades to die for.
You can wear The Legendary Queen with:
Walk Of Shame Lip Cheat
The Charlotte Tilbury Your Lip Service is currently only available online and I’m not sure if there are plans to roll it out across the CT counters. You can pick it up on the Charlotte Tilbury website for £60.00 or the individual lipsticks for £24.00 each.
