We recently went out for the day with the Boy’s niece who was wearing a gorgeous perfume. She told me that is was Versace Eros Pour Femme, and I was lucky enough to be sent a bottle from the lovely ladies over at Aspects Beauty PR. It’s the first time that I have really tried a Versace fragrance, and I love it.
The primal power of a woman, captured in a radiant, sensual essence.
A new legend from Versace, bursting with the passion of when Eros meets his true love, Pour Femme – but who’s seducing who?
An invitation to surrender, to desire and to take control of life’s unstoppable forces.
A fragrance of strength, individuality and seduction, from artistic director Donatello Versace.
First up, let’s just take a moment to appreciate how gorgeous the Versace Eros bottle itself is. The design is nice and elegant and unmistakably Versace. The Medusa image on the bottle and the cap is intricate and adds a really strong design element. The outer edge of the bottle features a Greek fret motif that underscores the strong character of the fragrance.
The box features the gold bands with metallic detailing, which highlights the daring tone of the perfume. I cannot fault the packaging at all – it is Instagram and dressing table worthy.
The fragrance itself is sensual yet fresh and if citrus scents are your thing, then this is for you.
At the top of the scent there is a beautiful combination of Sicilian lemon, mandarin, raspberry and white currant.
The middle notes are a heady mix of florals such as freesia, magnolia, orange blossom and jasmine.
At the base, white patchouli, wood, musk and ambrox add a sensual dimension to the perfume.
The fragrance is feminine, sensual and perfect for Summer.
