You’d think given the fact my financial situation is as healthy as I am at the moment that I’d be more drawn to more budget brands. That would be far too sensible for me, so I continue to adore high end brands such as Tom Ford. For me, this is probably one of my top 3 brands and if money was no object I would have it all. Sadly money is very much an object so my collection of Tom Ford goodies is fairly modest. However, I thought I’d show you what I had.
ILLUMINATING PRIMER (£56.00) – hybrid primer that combines Tom Ford’s Infusing Complex with skin retexturing ingredients. It increases cellular activity as well as enhancing the texture, tone and brightness of the complexion. You’re left with a luminous and flawless base ready for the rest of your makeup.
I will admit that I ration my use of this due to the price – in fact I do this with all my Tom Ford products. Admittedly it is a lot of money for a primer, but it is seriously lovely to use.
TRACELESS PERFECTING FOUNDATION (£66.00) – natural-finish, long-wearing foundation that is humidity resistant. Your skin feels moisturised and your skin tone is more even. After applying this, your complexion is supple and flawless and imperfections are reduced. The buildable coverage is medium to full and you have a lovely smooth finish.
I stood in the middle of Selfridges on Oxford Street having an argument with myself as to whether I could justify the cost of this. I’m not even that into high coverage foundations, but I bit the bullet and I’m glad I did. Whilst the coverage is more than I look for, it feels so smooth on the skin and doesn’t feel like I have too much foundation on.
SOLEIL BRONZING POWDER IN GOLD DUST (£52.00) – beautiful silky and lightweight bronzing powder. The formula is a mineral blend of sunstone, amber and black tourmaline crystals. Contains unique pigments that flawlessly highlight the skin’s natural radiance. Housed in gorgeous ivory and gold packaging that’s the ideal size for our clutch bag.
Ordering this was the result of a momentary loss of self-control. I usually begrudge spending £20 on a bronzer, so this was a real splurge. It isn’t too dark and blends out perfectly on the skin. I love this bronzer.
NIGHTBLOOM POWDER IN BLACK BLOOM (£55.00) – luxurious powder blush that applies evenly and gives you a natural-looking flush of colour. It instantly warms the face and adds an instant shimmer. Housed in a sleek, ribbed black compact in the style of the Black Orchid bottle.
I’m not sure why they describe this as a blush as it’s a highlighter. Colour wise, it is very similar to Becca & Jaclyn Hill’s Prosecco Pop. For me, I think it has more of a sheen finish than a shimmer and it is stunning to wear.
CREAM COLOUR FOR EYES IN PLATINUM (£30.00) – luxurious metallic cream eyeshadow. They are super-pigmented and have a creamy formula that glides onto the lids and instantly brighten the eyes. There is no smudging or creasing.
Platinum is a warm smoky taupe with a frosted shimmer that was part of the limited edition Runway collection. It is very similar to a Charlotte Tilbury Eyes To Mesmerise and I want so many more.
EYE COLOUR QUADS (£66.00) – each Tom Ford quad contains 4 luxurious complementing shades to allow to achieve multiple eye looks. They are formulated with advanced colour processes and are beautifully pigmented.
ORCHID HAZE – warm toned quad
OH 1 – golden peach metallic
OH 2 – medium brown frosted metallic
OH 3 – rosy plum pearl
OH 4 – blackened burgundy matte
NUDE DIP – warm toned neutrals
ND 1 – golden champagne frosted metallic
ND 2 – medium copper frost
ND 3 – warm taupe frosted metallic
ND 4 – dark brown satin
Never did I think that I would spend £66 on 4 eyeshadows but my god are they worth it! My Dad bought me Nude Dip and I bought Orchid Haze and I love how pigmented and smooth they are. There’s a couple more on the Christmas list for this year!
EXTREME MASCARA (£36.00) – a gorgeous mascara that magnifies the eyes. The combination of deep tones and lash filling powders transfers the lashes to create glamour and drama. It doesn’t cake, crumble or clump and stays on all day.
I do love my high end mascaras and this is one of my favourites. My lashes are so crap naturally that they need a lot of help. This makes them look longer and more dramatic and is well worth the price tag.
In my dreams my Tom Ford lipstick collection is massive. In reality, there’s only a few but I absolutely love them. Yes they are pricey but there’s something so luxurious about them. Enjoy the swatches as I accidentally pressed too hard when swatching Purple Noon and it snapped. Devastated!
PURPLE NOON (£40.00) – medium dark plum with a high shine finish
NUDE VANILLE (£40.00) – pink nude in an ultra-creamy texture
INIGO – LIPS & BOYS (£29.00) – cool burgundy with a pearl finish
THOMAS – LIPS & BOYS – (£29.00) – medium-dark pink with a semi-matte finish
DOUGLAS – LIPS & BOYS (£29.00) – medium rosy pink with light metallic finish
CRISTIANO – LIPS & BOYS (£29.00) – bold orange-toned red with matte finish
Fragrances are the one area where I do not scrimp and I’m lucky enough to have a fiance who treats me to Tom Ford ones at Chrismas and on my birthday. One day I hope to have a Private Blend but until then, I have a few scents that I do enjoy owning.
WHITE PATCHOULI 100ML (£112.00) – a beautiful blend of white flowers, patchouli, peony, bergamot, jasmine, rose and coriander.
ORCHID SOLEIL 50ML (£79.00) – a vibrant composition of pink pepper, bitter orange, cypress, tuberose, vanilla and patchouli.
BLACK ORCHID 30ML (£56.00) – an oriental mix of French Jasmine, ylang-ylangm black truffle, dark chocolate, incense, amber and vetiver.
VELVET ORCHID 50ML (£79.00) – a gorgeous blend of bergamot, mandarin, orange blossom, hyacinth, sandalwood, suede and vanilla.
NOIR POUR FEMME 30ML (£56.00) – an oriental-floral combination of bergamot, mandarin, ginger, rose, jasmine, vanilla, kulfi and mastic.
I’m hoping to add some more pieces on my birthday and at Christmas so hopefully the collection will grow soon. Which is your favourite Tom Ford product?
