Mintd Box Spring Clean

The Mintd Box Spring Clean edition has dropped through the letterbox and it’s another beauty.  I know we shouldn’t wish time away but I do find myself eagerly awaiting the beginning of the month for this box to arrive.  Regular readers of this blog will know just how much I gush about Mintd Box, so I’ll save you from that today … well I’ll try.

As we ebb away from the cold grasp of Winter and into the warmth and promise of Spring, this month Mintd is bringing you the tools for this much wanted but drastic transitional period.  The change in season requires a change in routine, a change in products and a change in attitude.

After all the recent snow and cold weather, I know it’s easy to forget that Spring is actually on the way, but soon the leaves will be back on the trees and the daffodils will be popping up everywhere.  I love changing up the products I use with each new season, so the Mintd Box Spring Clean sounds perfect.  The value of this month’s box is £201 so well worth your £70.00 subscription fee.  There are 4 products this month, and you won’t be disappointed.

Omorovicza are a brand that I’m really starting to fall in love with and I have a small collection of their products.  I’d seen the Elemental Emulsion online and liked the look of it, so yay for Mintd Box including it this month.

It is a lightweight, oil-free lotion that contains marine extracts and hyaluronic acid (which I’m obsessed with).  Long-lasting moisture is delivered right down to the deep layers of the skin whilst working to control any shine on the surface.  Now if you have oily or combination skin then this will work beautifully for you as a moisturiser.  I’m more on the dry side of the skin spectrum so I was worried that this might not work too well for me.  I was wrong (it happens at least once a week).  For those of us with dry skin, the emulsion can be used as a serum and you can also use it as a primer.  This is an all-rounder that offers something for everyone.

One of the things I love about this box is that I’m introduced to high quality brands that I hadn’t been aware of.  This Refining Facial Polish from Su-Man has never been on my radar before, but it is so lovely to use.

After the long cold Winter, our skin can be looking a bit tired and worse for wear, and this promises to revive and renew the complexion.  It is a gorgeous exfoliator that contains watermelon and gingko bilboa leaf extracts that delicately smooth away dry and dull skin.  The blend of ingredients help to fight free radicals (who still sound like a band from the 90s), and also have anti-inflammatory properties and vitamin-rich enzymes that promote skin cell regeneration.  After using this, the skin looks brighter, more radiant and a hell of a lot smoother.  This may replace my beloved Laura Mercier Face Polish.

Again, AMLY Botanicals are another brand that I am not familiar with.  However, the second I saw the words ‘Radiance Boost’, I knew that we were going to get along just fine.

This is described as a unique facial water that is intensely revitalising as well as illuminating.  It contains silver-rich spring water, known for its clarifying and healing properties, that is infused with organic flowers, hedgerow fruit, native herbs and a beautiful blend of essential oils including Jasmine, Neroli, Chamomile and many more.  The mist is also strengthened with highly-concentrated, moisture-boosting Hyaluronic Acid and skin-perfecting Copper Peptides and nourishing plant Probiotics.  I like to use this when my skin is starting to feel dry thanks to the central heating, and also when I’m getting tired and need to stimulate the senses – you can also spray it over the top of your makeup to boost the skin’s vitality and luminosity.

A sheet mask and Hyaluronic Acid together?  Heaven!  Magicstripes are another brand that are new to me, but I am so glad that Mintd Box have introduced me to them and their Hyaluronic Intensive Treatment Mask.

The mask is a powerful moisturising biogel Hydrogel Mask with Hyaluronic Acid and consists of highly concentrated high quality essences.  It moisturises and relaxes the skin and helps to improve the elasticity and the skin’s nutrition.  Once the mask hits your face, the active ingredients respond to the skin’s temperature allowing them to be deeply absorbed.  The vegetable ingredients are contained in the non-woven 100% natural cotton fabric of the mask.  After using this mask, your skin feels so hydrated and the wrinkles do start to appear less noticeable.  I really like this mask.

I am seriously impressed with the Mintd Box Spring Clean edit.  All of the products are gorgeous and I love that I’ve been introduced to 3 brands that I wasn’t familiar with.  Skincare junkies need to subscribe to this box – you won’t regret it.
