Blue Moon has been on my Sunday Riley wishlist for a while. I love a good cleansing balm, so I knew that I had to try this. I have been told that this is being discontinued, although my contact says that it isn’t, so I was thrilled when I was sent a pot to try. Did I need another cleansing balm? No, I have a drawer full, but I adore Sunday Riley so this needed to be in my life.
Blue Moon is a gorgeous cleansing balm with a balm-to-milk texture that is ultra-gentle yet effective at the same time. It works well to remove even the most stubborn makeup without feeling harsh on your skin. I love the formula of this – it feels like it is nourishing your skin as it cleanses it and you don’t feel like you really have to rub to remove your mascara or liquid liner.
You massage the balm onto your dry skin for a minute or two before taking a warm cloth to wipe the balm away. Keep your eyes closed as you sweep the balm across the lids to remove your eye makeup. The balm turns milky as it cleanses the skin and you rinse the excess away with warm water. It is so quick and easy to use and it works so well. Cleansing balms are always my favourite way to remove my makeup and this one is one of the nicest ones that I have tried.
There are a lot of lovely natural ingredients in Blue Moon that work together to cleanse, calm and soothe the skin, as well as leaving you with skin that is glowing and hydrated. It also leaves you feeling balanced, calm and tranquil.

IS IT WORTH THE PRICE TAG?
Blue Moon is not cheap – it is £46.00 for 100g, but you know that when you buy Sunday Riley that you’re buying quality. Testing lots of products for the blog can leave my skin feeling irritated at the end of the day, but this really helps to calm my skin down. It feels luxurious and high quality, which will always appeal to me. There are cheaper cleansing balms on the market, but if you’re a Sunday Riley lover, then the price won’t put you off. I really hope that they don’t discontinue this as it is lovely.
