Skin Laundry is one of those brands who I wasn’t really aware of until late last year. I received their Gentle Foaming Face Wash in the Liberty Advent Calendar and then I just kept seeing their products all over social media. If you’re ever in Liberty, they have products and treatments available, so it’s well worth popping in. The lovely folks over at Skin Laundry sent me two of their products to try out, so thanks for that guys … or girls. I seem to have been testing so much skincare recently!
I love toners, so I was keen to see how well the Skin Laundry one performed. It is a clarifying toner and it helps to remove excess oil from the skin whilst detoxifying it. It is rich in antioxidants as well skin protectors and smoothers.
I found that this left my skin feeling a lot less oily and also calmer – ideal when you’ve got a wee bit of sunburn. This is thanks to the addition of Aloe Barbadensis Leaf. The toner also restores the skin’s natural pH level and is oil-free.
Is it my favourite toner in the world? No, probably not, but if oil is an issue then I would recommend this.
I have more moisturisers than I actually know what to do with, but that doesn’t stop me from trying out more. I really like this one as it is nice and lightweight, and some days that’s all I want. It is an antioxidant cream that promises to balance, calm and protect the skin.
The moisturiser contains one of my favourite skincare ingredients, hyaluronic acid, which helps to hydrate the skin, as well as essential skin proteins to add moisture and strength. I love the fact that it also contains shea butter, as I love how it feels on my skin. There is also Japanese Apricot Extract and French Polynesian Kopara which work together to restore the skin’s natural barrier function.
After using this, I have noticed that my skin has felt so much softer and nicely hydrated, with any dryness disappearing. If you don’t want a heavy moisturiser, then you will love this.
I now really want to try more from Skin Laundry and the next time I am in London, I am very tempted to book in for a treatment.
