May’s Glossybox … It’s A Basic Bitch

Hello Bunnies!

It’s not often you get a PR email from a company with the subject ‘Basic Bitch’, but that’s what happened with Glossybox this month.  At first, I thought they were insulting me but once I read the email, I realised they were referring to the box … May’s box is full of basics – staple products that every beauty lover needs in their life.  This is the kind of basic bitch that I have time for.

I was sent the box for PR purposes and I am a Glossybox affiliate, but all views are my own.

May’s box is in the standard pink design, which I personally love.  Their boxes are always so well packaged and make great storage afterwards … I use mine in my Alex drawers to keep beauty products in place.  Included in the box is a voucher for Mockberg … the voucher is for 50 Euros which will certainly help as their watches are pricey.

Glossybox Scrub Love

SCRUB LOVE ACTIVE CHARCOAL BODY SCRUB – I love body scrubs, so I can’t wait to put this to the test.  Charcoal is a great ingredient as it is a detoxifier and absorbs the pollutants and impurities that sit on the skin and the exfoliating action of the scrub will help to remove dead and dry skin, as well as boosting the lymphatic drainage and circulation.  It is cleansing, soothing and hydrating and is 100% natural and vegan.

Glossybox Caudalie Vinosource

CAUDALIE VINOSOURCE MOISTURIZING SORBET – I love Caudalie and I have used this before and really enjoyed it. It’s really lightweight and has a gel / cream formula that helps to calm the skin as well as restoring water reserves to make the skin more resilient.  As I test a lot of skincare, my skin can get quite reactive and whenever I use this, it calms it right down.

Glossybox Ruby Powder Blush

RUBY BLUSH IN CORAL – I am a blush addict and love trying new ones.  I’ve not heard of this brand before and I am not a fan of the packaging (sort of reminds me of what you see in discount stores), but the coral shade is lovely.  It has a nice silky texture and has good pigmentation.  It’s a cheerful shade that is perfect for summer.

Glossybox Dr PawPaw

DR. PAWPAW ORIGINAL BALM – I have been using this amazing multi-purpose balm for over a year and it is so handy to have.  You can use it in so many different ways – your hair, lips and skin.  it contains aloe vera, olive oil and pawpaw and feels so nourishing on the skin.  It’s great for dry patches of skin and for smoothing down your hair … every girl needs this in her life.

Glossybox Girl Meets Brush

GIRL MEETS BLUSH EYESHADOW BLENDING BRUSH – A girl can never have too many makeup brushes (think I’m at around the 300 mark lol), and I have used one of these brushes before.  It’s not my favourite blending brush in the world, but it is a good one.  The bristles are nice and soft and it does blend out the shadows well.
