Laura Geller – First Impressions *

Hello Bunnies!

Laura Geller is a brand that I don’t have a lot of experience with.  In fact the only product I have ever tried is Baked Gelato Illuminator which I absolutely love.  I know a lot of people who rave about Laura Geller , so when I was sent some to try, I was happy.

I don’t tend to use powder foundations so I was unsure of the Double Take Baked Foundation at first.  I do tend to use this more as a finishing powder on the days when I need that little bit more coverage.  For me, having just a powder on feels strange, but if you’re used to powder foundations then you’ll love this.

The powder has been baked on a terracotta tile and is formulated with ActivMesh technology which keeps the powder feeling weightless on your skin and pores looking reduced whilst giving you a high level of coverage.  I have definitely noticed that it really does feel light on the skin, which I love.  Powder products can sometimes feel heavy on my face, but this really doesn’t.

This is great if you want quite a bit of coverage.  It is dual performance, so you can apply it dry for when you want a medium to full coverage, or use it wet when you want seriously full coverage.

Laura Geller Double Take costs £28.00 and is available to buy from Cult Beauty. *

I do have a lot of liquid lipsticks and the two I have tried from the Fifty Kisses range are so lovely to use.  Some can feel really drying on the lips or end up cracking, but these don’t.  The formula is nice and creamy without feeling heavy on your lips.  To say that these are pigmented would be an understatement – just look at the swatches.

Fifty Kisses are also really long-wearing and stay on for hours, even if you’ve been having a little smooch.  Instead of feeling dry, they feel beautifully satiny on the lips and look beautiful.  They are so wearable.  I was sent Melon Crush (vivid pink) and Ravishing Rose (warm rose).

I definitely think that these compare well to other liquid lipsticks that I have tried and I would definitely get more of them.  There’s a gorgeous range of shades available and I can’t find anything bad to say about them.  I also really like the curved applicator as it hugs the lips and delivers just the right amount of product.

Laura Geller Fifty Kisses cost £17.00 each and are available from Cult Beauty. *
