When the Jo Malone Hand Cream Collection arrived through my letterbox, I was extremely excited. By now I think we all know how much I adore Jo Malone, so to receive a PR package from them made me giddy. I’d seen a few people receiving this collection of hand creams and I’d been lusting after them and I’m happy to say that they don’t disappoint.
The Jo Malone Hand Cream Collection is a set of 3 luxurious hand creams in some of their most-loved scents. I have a wide selection of hand creams, and whilst I have many that I really love, none of them have excited me as much as these have.
When it comes to packaging, Jo Malone always nail it. Whether it is their classic cream and black combination, or their limited editions, there’s something so luxe and classy about them. This collection is no different with the interior of the box decorated with a hand-illustrated design from the British artist Helen Beard.
I love the design, which is carried onto the tubes as well. Just because hand cream is quite practical, it doesn’t mean that it can’t look good too. I like to display a few of my Jo Malone pieces on my dressing table, and I can see these fitting in perfectly.
The creams in the Jo Malone Hand Cream Collection are beautifully lightweight and don’t feel heavy on your hands at all. They absorb quickly without leaving behind any greasy residue.
My hands are really dry at the moment, and as soon as you apply one of the creams, you notice the difference straight away. As soon as the cream is absorbed, your hands really do feel moisturised, and the addition of apricot kernel oil helps to nourish and protect.
The first cream is scented with the classic Lime Basil and Mandarin scent.
Our signature fragrance. Peppery basil and aromatic white thyme bring an unexpected twist to the scent of limes on a Caribbean breeze. A modern classic.
Lime Basil and Mandarin isn’t my favourite Jo Malone scent, but I do really like it as a hand cream. For me personally, the scent works better in the cream than it does on it’s own as a cologne.
Next, we have one of my all time favourite Jo Malone scents and that’s Peony & Blush Suede.
The essence of charm. Peonies in voluptuous bloom, exquisitely fragile. Flirtatious with the juicy bite of red apple and the opulence of jasmine, rose and gillyflower. Mingling with the sensuality of soft, blush suede. Luxurious and seductive.
This scent can do no wrong with me – I’ve tried the cologne, the candle, the body creme … every time it smells beautiful and the hand cream is no different.
The final scent in the set is English Pear & Freesia and this is another firm favourite of mine. I recommend this scent to everyone.
The essence of autumn. The sensuous freshness of just-ripe pears is wrapped in a bouquet of white freesias, and mellowed by amber, patchouli and woods. Luscious and golden.
I think this has to be my favourite of the hand creams as it just smells so beautiful. I love the mix of the fruit and the floral and I can see this being the one I finish first.
The Jo Malone Hand Cream Collection retails at £44.00 although it is currently sold out on the Jo Malone website. You can order it from John Lewis though.
I’d like to say a massive thankyou to the wonderful girls over at Jo Malone for making my blogging dreams come true and sending me this gorgeous set.
