Hollywood Flawless Filter from Charlotte Tilbury is here! When I first saw the sneak peeks of this I thought that it was a new foundation, but I was wrong. This is a hybrid between a primer, a complexion booster and a highlight. The best way to describe it is probably as the love child between Wonderglow and Light Wonder and I bloody love it!
I’m all about products that add a glow, so I was so excited to try this out, especially as I’d been seeing Team Tilbury raving about it all over Instagram. Now this is available in 7 shades even though it is not a foundation. If you’re unsure as to what shade you need then go off whatever shade you are in Magic Foundation or Light Wonder. I’m Shade 2 which is a neutral peachy beige and is the perfect match for my bare skin.
Hollywood Flawless Filter is enriched with Lamellar filler and, in basic terms, it works like an Instagram filter for your face. Yes it will prime your skin beautifully and add a gorgeous glow to your complexion, but the magic lies in the perfecting properties of this little beauty. Your lines and pores will appear smoother and your complexion will have a lovely soft focus effect that makes you look so much better. I’m always a bit sceptical towards products that promise this, but this works. It really works and it is a must have in any makeup collection.
When it comes to how to apply Hollywood Flawless Filter, you’re spoilt for choice. It is customisable for your needs and there are a variety of ways in which you can use it.
* Use all over to prime your skin and add a subtle glow and polished look before applying foundation
* Mix with foundation to amplify your Hollywood glow
* Dot along the tops of cheekbones, down the nose, above the cupid’s bow to glow like a Hollywood star
Wear alone for a fresh, glossy, all-over glow
Now I do have to apologise for the photos that are coming up – I don’t look good and that’s not because of the product. I’ve been a bit under the weather so I wasn’t looking my best on the day I took the photos, but you can see a big improvement after I’ve applied Hollywood Flawless Filter. C’mon, I’m never going to be the blogger with the fancy shots of myself … I prefer to keep things real around here.
My favourite way to wear this is underneath or mixed with my Light Wonder Foundation and then dotted along my cheekbones for an extra glow. I can now see why the team were so excited for this to launch … it has to be one of my favourite launches from them in recent months.
You can pick up Hollywood Flawless Filter for £30.00 from the Charlotte Tilbury website. I will be going to the launch party for this in London in a couple of weeks and Charlotte will be there so you can imagine what my excitement levels are like right now!
