It’s Glossybox time again and as it is July’s box, the theme is Hello Summer. Now summer appears to have been and gone here in Lancashire, but let’s keep the faith that it might come back. The July box contains 5 products that are all travel-friendly sizes ideal for taking away on your summer holiday with you. I love the gorgeous coral colour of the box and apparently it will team up well with August’s box, so that is exciting.
BellaPierre are one of those brands that I never buy but that seem to pop up in Glossybox and other beauty boxes quite often. I am actually really excited by this as I have wanted to try a banana setting powder for a while (I did have the Morphe one but hated it). I’ve been lusting over the Ben Nye powder for a while but just never actually bought it.
The yellow hue of the powder helps to counteract redness in the skin as well as helping to disguise discolouration, blemishes and dark circles for those of us with paler skin. If you have olive or dark skin, then this should create a beautiful highlight on your complexion. I’m not that keen on the whole baking trend, but I will definitely be putting this to the test.
I love Spectrum brushes so I was very happy to see this. I only own a few of their brushes and keep meaning to add more to my collection, so this Small Fan brush is very much appreciated. Plus, a girl with an addiction to highlighter can never have too many fan brushes.
With synthetic, cruelty-free bristles, you don’t need to worry about any animal hair, and who doesn’t love the turquoise and purple? So pretty. The brush is ideal for applying setting powder or highlighter. I always prefer using a fan brush for my highlight, so this will be getting a lot of use.
Oh Glossybox I could have really done with this a couple of weeks ago!! I got soooo sunburnt on my shoulders and searched the house for some After Sun and couldn’t find any. I’m now at that gross peeling stage. Not that you needed to know that.
This has soothing aloe vera, vitamin E and shea butter and it cools, hydrate and calms sunburnt skin. It is suitable for both he face and body and I am hanging onto this in the vain hope that the sun will reappear. Please let the sun come back … I miss it.
Confession time – I have never had a macaroon in my life. I know!! I call myself a blogger as well – the shame! Anyway, how cute is this little macaroon shaped lip balm? It is adorable and made me feel all happy when I saw it.
As well as being a lip balm, you can also use it as a cheek and lip tint. I love the berry shade and it smells rather lovely too. This is going in the handbag for when I am out and about. I just can’t get over how cute it is.
Last but not least we have these two spiral hairbands. I prefer these as they don’t break or split your hair. They hold the hair in place perfectly and when they get out of shape just pop them in a cup of hot water and they go back to their original shape.
I received a black band and a white one but I think that the colours vary from box to box. These seems a lot bigger than the others that I have so I’m thinking that they’re going to be great from the days when a messy bun is the only answer.
