I have a little confession to make – I have a makeup brush addiction. There’s a lot of them in my collection, but I had only ever tried one from EcoTools before … until now. They recently got in touch to see if I would like to try some of their products, and when the parcel arrived it was like Christmas. I’ve been having a good play with these for the last couple of weeks, and I thought that I would share my first impressions with you.
EcoTools use recycled materials and renewable bamboo for their brushes. They wanted to create brushes that were not only which and high-quality, but environmentally friendly and affordable too.
FULL POWDER BRUSH – £7.65 – I love powder brushes and this one is so good. The head is nice and large and dense. The bristles are beautifully soft and it applies powder perfectly. It is fast becoming one of my favourite brushes to use for my powder.
LIMITED EDITION ANNIVERSARY COLLECTION – £17.01 – Happy Birthday EcoTools – this year, they turned 10, so this Limited Edition set is to commemorate that milestone. The set contains 6 brushes in a rose gold metal case and is a great way to introduce yourself to the brand.
The set includes:
Airbrushed Finishing Brush – creates flawless base
Controlled Setting Brush – precise application of highlighting powders & creams
Spoolie – combs & tames brows & lashes
Angled Crease Brush – adds definition to the eyes
Flat Eyeliner Brush – adds definition to the lash line
Eye / Lip Blur Brush – diffuses & blends eye & lip colours
ULTIMATE SHADE DUO – £5.10 – contains 2 brushes for shading and blending eyeshadows. Again, these are really nice and soft to use.
The Duo contains:
Full Shadow Brush – apply all over base colour to the eyelids. Can also be used to highlight the brow bone.
Precision Blending Brush – has compact bristles to perfectly apply and blend accent colours.
DEFINE & HIGHLIGHT DUO – £10.20 – A set of 2 brushes to naturally sculpt and illuminate your features. I love these two a lot.
Define Brush – has tapered bristles to dust contour shades onto the face
Highlight Brush – has wide fanned bristles to gently sweep highlighting powders onto the face
PERFECTING BLENDER DUO – £8.50 – 2 sponges designed with EcoFoam Technology that uses 70% plant based materials. I didn’t think I’d ever like a sponge as much as my Real Techniques one, but these are up there.
Large Base Blender – soft & flexible to create light, buildable makeup application
Mini Detail Blender – firmer for more precise & detailed coverage
I have been really impressed with these products and they won’t make your purse cry either.
I would highly recommend checking out EcoTools.
P.S. Sorry for the lack of words … typing with just my left hand is getting annoying fast!
