DKNY produce some lovely perfumes (Be Delicious anyone?), and they’ve done it again with the beautiful Nectar Love. I am a self-confessed perfume addict and whilst I have recently been more drawn to slightly more high end scents, this has reignited my love for more affordable scents.
Ignore my reflection in the majority of these photos (as well as my scruffy slippers), sometimes my brain doesn’t kick in when I am taking my pics. #bloggerfail
Nectar Love is DKNY’s latest creation and it is oriental and floral. I also think there’s a definite yet subtle fruitiness that comes through from the top notes, although this does dry down. It’s not the lightest scent in the world, but at the same time it’s not heavy – there’s just the right amount of depth to it that means you can take this from day to night easily.
Lily Of The Valley
I love the bottle – DKNY always do such cute bottles and this one is no exception. From the little bee on the gold lid, to the glass bee on the main body of the bottle, this is actually adorable. We all know that I’m a sucker for packaging anyway.
The perfume is really very pretty and I was surprised at how long-wearing it is. After the initial fruitless has settled, you can really pick up on the floral notes although I wouldn’t automatically think of this as a floral fragrance. The musk, cedar and neroli come through to add that bit more to this.
Prices range from £40.00 to £74.00 so it is affordable and would make a nice present for someone … or as a little treat to yourself.
DKNY Nectar Love is available from a variety of retailers including The Perfume Shop.
