This is the year I’m going to like myself. Not love myself, that’s a long way off, but I need to learn to at least like who I am. Now the thought of a blog post full of pictures of me absolutely terrifies me. I’m scared you will judge how I look, laugh at my big nose, point out how old I am looking. However, if I can’t accept who I am then how can anyone else?
When Mick suggested a little Scottish Christmas getaway back at the start of last year, I wasn’t sure. For me, Christmas has always been spent at home, so I didn’t know how I felt about going away. We have spent every Christmas that we have been together with my Dad, and I was worried about leaving him alone. Since Mum has gone I feel like he is my responsibility, so I did feel a little guilty. However, the more I thought about it, the more I wanted to do it.
What I Got For Christmas posts are always a tricky one. Some people hate them and see them as bragging, whilst the rest of us love them. I’m a nosy cow and love to see what others have got. I don’t see it as bragging … it’s more someone being excited and appreciative. This year I wasn’t sure whether to write mine after I got some negativity towards one of my presents, but then I thought sod it! I’m over the moon with my presents and extremely grateful, so here it is. My 2017 What I Got For Christmas post. I hope you enjoy.
2017 has been a shit of a year, not gonna lie. It’s been tough and I’m so glad it’s almost over. However, all the crap has taught me some valuable life lessons. Life lessons that I needed to learn and that, in retrospect, have made me grow as a person. So, with 5 days until Christmas, let’s take a look at what I’ve learnt this year.
ADEXE are a company who take the utmost pride in what they do and strive to embody the British spirit and style in their craft. I like it when a brand is British – less air miles and all that jazz, so I was excited to try one of their products. Now bear in mind that mine is a PR sample and so there’s no fancy gift box or anything like that. View Post
