Burberry are a brand I’m still quite new to, (I have one other palette), but they’re definitely one I want to try more from. World Duty Free Beauty kindly sent me this gorgeous little quad and it was instant love. Eyeshadows will always have my heart and despite owning a lot I can never say no to a few more.
I was sent No. 06 Plum Pink, and as you can imagine, it’s a pink-toned palette that works so well at this time of year. The quad contains 4 shades including:
* Illuminating base to highlight
* 2 buildable colours to add shape
* Intense liner to define
It comes with a black travel pouch and 3 mini brushes – admittedly I will never use those but they’re handy if you’ve got nothing else to hand. I also really like the gunmetal Burberry print on the palette – they know how to do packaging well.
From using my other Burberry palette, I knew that I would like the quality of the eyeshadows. They are extremely smooth, with very little fallout and they blend perfectly. You can layer them and build up the coverage and whilst the pigmentation isn’t in your face, it is very good.
TOP SHADE – pink-toned beige satin illuminating base
SECOND SHADE – cool-toned mauve satin buildable colour
THIRD SHADE – deep plum satin buildable colour
FOURTH SHADE – cool-toned dark taupe matte liner (can also be used to darken up the eye)
This is a beautiful little palette and a pleasure to use. I definitely want to add to my collection, as I’ve loved plying around with this.
Burberry palettes usually cost £40.00, but World Duty Free have them for £33.40, which is great for the old bank balance. You have two choices when it comes to buying. You can reserve and collect between one month to 24 hours before your departure date, or take a look whilst you’re at the airport.
I’m starting to think that Mick and I need to book a holiday for next year just so I can go look at all the beautiful products they have. So if you are planning a little getaway, be sure to go see what they have on offer.
