Oh Becca! When one of your favourite brands team up with one for your favourite celebs, then it’s a good day. I love Becca and have a deep love for their highlighters, so a new palette from them excites me. Then there’s Chrissy Teigen. She’s a wife, a mum, a presenter, a model … and the best person to follow on Twitter. She is brutally funny with her putdowns of haters and I heart her … a lot.
WHAT IS IT?
The collaboration is a limited edition glow face palette. It consists of 2 highlight shades, a bronzer and a blush. Two of the shades are new and all were chosen by Chrissy. It’s warm, pretty and perfect for Summer.
If you don’t think the packaging of this is pretty, then who even are you? It’s an Instagrammer’s dream with the peachy-pink marble and the rose gold. With Chrissy’s signature, the Becca name, and a cute little heart, it is undoubtedly pretty.
I know that the packaging shouldn’t influence us, but I’m shallow and it does. Becca always seem to pull off nice packaging, and this is their prettiest by a mile.
This is definitely a palette for those who prefer warm shades – they might be a little bit dark without a tan. Each shade contains Becca’s iconic formula so you know that the quality is going to be high. Becca blend pigments with liquids for the silly smooth finish of their powders, and they apply perfectly.
Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Highlighter in Rose Gold: (Chrissy’s favourite) subtle gold infused with sweet rose
Luminous Blush in Hibiscus Bloom: (new shade) golden pink coral
Sunlit Bronzer in Malibu Soleil: medium amber
Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Highlighter in Beach Nectar: (new shade) juicy apricot infused with gold
I am in love. The shades are beautifully pigmented and look stunning. I am very pale, so I am going to have to tan to pull this off properly though. If you like warm tones, then you will love this. I really hope that Becca make this permanent, as it’s too pretty to ever vanish.
At £45.00 there’s no denying that it’s expensive, but you’re paying for quality. Becca products are always so beautiful that I can forgive them the price tag.

IS IT SIMILAR TO THE JACLYN HILL PALETTE?
So when pictures of the Becca & Chrissy Teigen collab first surfaced online, a lot of people’s initial thoughts were that it looks very similar, shade-wise, to the Jaclyn Hill palette. I love the Jaclyn palette and I was slightly worried that it would be pretty much the same. Thankfully, there is a difference.
There are 5 shades in the Jaclyn palette, but again, it’s a mix of highlights, blushes and a bronzer. I’d say the Chrissy Teigen palette is much warmer than Jaclyn’s, although both are stunning.
As you can see from the swatches, they’re similar but there is a distinct difference. So don’t be put off from getting the Chrissy palette if you already have the Jaclyn one.
BUT BECCA DO HAVE A TYPE
When it comes to pink blush, Becca most definitely have a specific colour spectrum that they stick to. The blush Snapdragon in the Blushed With Light palette is quite similar to other Becca blushes.
Snapdragon is a medium coral pink and it is very similar to other shades. So if you’re looking for a pink blush, you can’t go wrong with Becca.
